Great card

Coin is awesome it lets me hold all my cards on one card, its so convenient!

Have to carry my credit cards anyway

It only works about 80% of the time so I have to take my cards with me anyway. Cards that have a chip dont work on a coin because done merchants ask to insert the chip card following a swipe.

Works great with minor annoyances

I like my Coin thus far. Only issue I have with it is my debit cards read at the stores as a chip card therefore the card reader is asking me to insert my card. Each time I tell the associates to let me run it through using the stripe or NFC, but their reader or register identified the my debit card as having a chip. Im not sure why the stores register or card reader will not allow me to use it as a swipe or NFC. Other then that, I really like the convenience of using 1 card.

Ergonomic...yes I said ergonomic.

As a ergonomic professional, I can say that Coin helped me eliminate my wallet. I now only carry the essentials in my FRONT pocket, thus Coin being ergonomic. Thank you for protecting my spine Coin!

Improving

My Coin experience keeps on getting better and better as Im finding that its compatibility with different POS systems has increased from when I first received mine. Its gotta cool factor, is always a conversation starter, and I love that Im getting more use out of it.

Coin Is worthless

It simply DOES NOT WORK at the vast majority of places I try to use it (4 out of 5 places). The NFC NEVER works, and otherwise, since it has no chip (although when I bought it coins website read like it was included) its almost always rejected. Merchants dont want to swipe when your card indicates that a chip is imbedded (If the card you load onto coin has a chip, merchants will reject your coin, period). Whats the point? Apple Pay already does what coin SAYS it does (but like I indicated above, the NFC never works on coin) so aside from swipe-ability, Apple Pay works better as its NFC works. Please dont waste you time or your money.

Annoying redirect

The app asked whether I was enjoying using my Coin. When I answered yes it launched AppStore. Very annoying!

Coin App is Super

This app used with the Coin payment device is super The fact I can store my credit card info in the app and it is protected by a tap code or touch ID fingerprint makes this app super safe. The Coin device works just like your credit or debit card when swiping the magnetic stripe for a payment. Being able to store several cards on one thin light device is a wonderful thing. There are a few situtations where the device fall short but over all this is great new tech and is getting better with each release. Give it a try. See the demo at Onlycoin.com

Coin reiew

I find the extremely useful. I have only had it not work where a retailer has a very old card reader e.g. a mom and pop type store. All the current chip readers have accepted it.

Works great!

Wish I could name my cards though!

Rarely works

Save your money. This thing is a piece of garbage.

Technology isnt there yet

Unfortunately chips started to become a thing in the U.S. when I finally got my coin. Great idea, but it doesnt work in too many places in NYC to be convenient. Also the card isnt connected to your name so when you open a tab at a bar, no name appears which raises a red flag for them, and they end up not accepting your card The Bluetooth unlock has never worked correctly for me (yes my Bluetooth is turned on). I expected to click my coin once and it would unlock. That happens 1 out of 30 time. In the end you end up carrying your coin and a back up card for when it doesnt work. You also end up explaining the same thing to every merchant. They either think its way cool (then doesnt work properly, or does) or they think that you have a stolen credit card device (pretty much the same tech)

2.0 Is better than 1.0

Ive been able to get more readable swipes with 2.0, and the NFC functionality is great. Ive had a few instances still where the merchant "only takes chip cards" and will not override to let me swipe, and they also did not have NFC. Customer support has been great. I recently had issues with getting a new phone, and my data backup was messed up, but Coin Support promptly responded to my request, and got me fixed!

Great, but needs a Chip Solution

I love my Coin and use it all the time. I still need to carry my primary card for places where Coin isnt accepted or they require a chip, but its still great to carry the Coin!

The best ‼️‼️

Thank you coin. This is a great product and support is excellent‼️ continue success.

Dentist

The 2.0 works at virtually every place that I have gone. I am very happy with it.

Coin 2.0, much better

Much more usable and the app is way better

Expensive and obsolete

The benefits of Coin dont outweigh the drawbacks, especially considering how much I paid for it. 1) Many merchants dont accept it (because of the way the technology works on the Coin itself) 2) Some others wont accept it because it doesnt look like a bank card (and theyre afraid of fraud). 3) No EMV (chip), and the NFC capability is already overshadowed by Apple Wallet (which does it with your phone, for free). It wouldve been great 2-3 years ago, but Coin is very obsolete and not worth paying for anymore.

Work in progress

Nice tool/toy. If works well for the most part. Still figuring out its nuances. Has shown good potential. Pay wave and a second encoded strip are two things that Ive heard about that would help.

Awesome

This is a great app for use with syncing data between your credit/devit., This is such an amazingly complex device that isnt just the size of a credit card. It IS a credit card. All of your credit cards. You swipe it just like a simple credit card. However, with Coin, you push a button on the Coin (more like squeezing the circle just below the display) to select which card you want to use and then swipe it or tap the Coin against the card reader if both are nfc compatible. Great app for a great piece of tech!
