Technology isnt there yet
Unfortunately chips started to become a thing in the U.S. when I finally got my coin. Great idea, but it doesnt work in too many places in NYC to be convenient.
Also the card isnt connected to your name so when you open a tab at a bar, no name appears which raises a red flag for them, and they end up not accepting your card
The Bluetooth unlock has never worked correctly for me (yes my Bluetooth is turned on). I expected to click my coin once and it would unlock. That happens 1 out of 30 time.
In the end you end up carrying your coin and a back up card for when it doesnt work. You also end up explaining the same thing to every merchant. They either think its way cool (then doesnt work properly, or does) or they think that you have a stolen credit card device (pretty much the same tech)
