Coin 2.0 Rox

This device is great. Added 4 cards and created an account in 10 minutes. Everywhere i tried it works ! No complaints here ! Great Job OnlyCoin is the ONLY way....

Behind the times

Great idea, bad implementation. I was an early backer. Who requested a refund after waiting more than a year and never getting a card. I never see anything good about Coin and I think that is too bad. Apple Pay and other competitors took the wind from their sails (or sales) and they never recovered. Rather than be honest about missed deadlines and unmanaged expectations, Coin repeatedly disappointed customers and misleading them about release dates and availability of the product. Dont buy it, ever.

Corporate Crooks

I was considered a "VIP" user because I followed the project and purchased one a year before it was released. My coin 1.0 barely ever worked and when it did work and I was gonna use it some places wouldnt accept it since it didnt have my name. I then got notified I was gonna receive a coin 2.0 in the first quarter of 16.. Its been 3 months since the first quarter of the year is over.... No coin 2.0 in my wallet yet???

Everyone needs to relax..

As an original backer from the beginning I must say (with all things considered) I am impressed..! I have watched the coin card conceptualize and ultimately become a functioning product. Does it have flaws, yes. I truly believe the coin team has done and continues to do everything possibly to stay ahead of technological advancements. Coin support staff has always responded to my emails, questions, and sent me the 2.0 immediately upon requesting it. The card itself has about an 80% success rate (for me personally). It seems the smaller card readers that can be picked up easily are the ones that have issues. Via the coin app I have the capability to view transactions at nearby businesses known to be successful (or unsuccessful)... Ive actually cut back on using my coin due to the fact it is always a conversation starter. People want to know how it works and where to get one! To the coin team: keep up the good work, I appreciate what you guys are doing!

Awesome product

Still needs some work but its amazing

Card never works

App is nice but card never works. When I received mine a while ago (years after ordering), I tried it at 6 stores and only once did it swipe. Not worth the time.

Obsolete When Battery Runs Out

All you putting stars above 1 need to realize since Coin was bought out by Fitbit which is in the business of fitness trackers and not all in one wallets, our Coin will be obsolete when our battery runs out. I am assuming the purchase of Coin by Fitbit was for its NFC technology which I am sure will eventually be incorporated in future fitness trackers. So lets all enjoy the 2 years and look for another alternative, like Plastc which is also having issues and its one delay after another.

Its an improvement

Since the beta, the 2.0 has been pretty good. So far its worked at 75% of all locations. It also alerts me if I cant use it at certain locations, for example, when Im dining out. I put all my cards on it except for one just in case some places dont accept Coin. Tap to pay works like a charm.

Getting better!!

Finally received my Coin 2.0! Card reader appears to work much better with recent updates. Would like to see a transaction history or notification similar to Apple Pay. Keep up the good work!!

Better than I expected but...

I have been watching coin since it was introduced and I have to say Im glad I waited. I was shocked to see it in my local Best Buy and I couldnt resist the urge to buy it. The card/app work perfectly it was easy to setup and since I dont have that many cards it holds all the ones I need. So far coin has been great most merchants have upgraded to the new verisign card swiper and coin works perfectly. The biggest issue I have is manually adding cards. I understand the whole credit fraud thing but I have a card I used regularly before the magnetic strip got messed up and I cant verify it after typing everything in. I dont really want to go through the process of ordering a new one just to add a card.

Fantastic and secure

The card is very easy to set up, has worked in every location I have tried it, and best is that it is very secure as it only displays the last 4 numbers of the card so the full card number is not available to the person ringing up the sale. Great job Coin.

Great! But no chip.

Great idea and great card but my chip cards are useless for the chip reader stores.

Card-Tastic

While you may hear some horror stories from the users of yester-year, Coin has been growing better and better... I too would have been a complainer, having signed up for the "Beta" Coin after watching the commercial [produced by Sandwich] however long ago. They had a few minor hiccups, but have since gotten their sh** together and listened. Coin may not yet work everywhere, so you may need some patience. But, if youre a gadget geek, or very forgetful [or a drunk!], this card is awesome - storing cards is cool, sure. But, having my phone alert me when I leave it at a bar? Kewwwel! C3

How is Coin still alive?

Its depressing to see such a simple and intuitive idea be botched by a company like Coin. How is there not a simple feature like reordering the cards so that my favorite cards are first? Im not impressed with this app, nor am I impressed with this company. Ill be sticking with my normal (works 99% of the time) credit cards...which really arent that much heavier or thicker to carry around.

Fun but nearly useless

They say 80+% acceptance rate, which in my experience is quite accurate. This means I still need to carry all my cards—plus this one—so I can make a payment the other 20-% of the time. I wouldnt mind that so much if the Coin would work when, as they promise, its in proximity with my iPhone. I find it VERY annoying that I must pull out my phone and launch the Coin app just to get my cards to appear on the Coin card.

The best app

Awesome!!!!!

Login too much of a gimmick

Please support Touch ID and PIN. The "6 element tap" based login is too hard to remember because it is used so infrequently. When I have gloves on, I just want a pin.

So far so good

Ive had it for a couple months now after waiting over 3 years. Its worked almost everywhere. So far so good.

Rarely works

Save your money. This thing is a piece of garbage.

Terrible Support

So many issues with Coin. I could never sync the card. I tried contacting support using the app which sends an email that has an auto responder telling you to use the website. I then went to the website which directed me to choose which issue I was have and then send an email. Well that email had an auto responder advising me to..... Wait for it.... Go visit the website for help. The FAQs are worthless. I was fortunate that I purchased the coin card from Bloomindales online. I could return it for a full refund! Hey Coin, you may want out source your support, they at least try.
